The elements within my way of working form a multi- disciplinary collective of works. For the Vertical Gallery Space Proposal my intention was to present my ideas in a way for them to work as a archival installation. I had two initial ideas, one being a performance piece; this would have been made up of a piano performance of score based upon the idea of the sea waves translated into sound waves, using legato arpegiated notes within the music composition. Alongside the performance would have been a continuum of the sound waves made visible in the form of a drawing.
The second idea was to create an installation made from several relating elements including a series of drawing, photography and film projection. Representative of stages of time and image formation through time. Reflecting on the feedback from the presentation, ive realised I need to be more assertive with my intentions and ideas and to allow less emphasis on the explanation of the concept and more about how the piece will actually have an affect upon the space. Taking into considration more the practicalities and logistics of the materials.
