Some of the drawings I created towards the end of the last unit portrayed elements of fluidity expressed through linear mark making. I experimented through the use of drawing and film making to explore the movement of these marks. The effects of the pieces reflected notions of waves, and wave movement. My aim was to explore these elements further and take direct inspiration from the seascape itself. When immersed in the space, it felt time had been paused and I was fixated on the repetition of the linear wave motions. Using photography as a catalyst to document time as a linear form. In particular the use of 35mm film photography and the way in which it forms a linear narrative of images, each connected through the film. My idea was to document the lines that separate the scape using 35mm black and white film, allowing further emphasis upon the linear markings in the landscape.
