Upon reflection of the previous unit, I found that the ideas
predominantly reflected themes of time and its temporal qualities. There is a
clear contrast between analogue and digital processes within my work; this is
portrayed through my use of analogue and digital photography. This contrast in
processes can be seen within my drawing, using analogue materials to draw with
and to form an image with digital aesthetics. It was reflected upon in the
feedback from the previous unit that there was potential to form further
developments within my drawing, exploring the boundaries of the physical
effects of time, taking time to explore the marks made.
This technique can be seen within the series of shadow drawings.
When photographed in direct sunlight cast overlaying shadows and depict the
darker and much lighter tones within the drawing.
