Within the Space
My intention throughout the project has been to form a collcetive installation of multi-disciplinary pieces. As a way of visualising the work within this context I began exploring a variety of spaces in which the work would be most fitting to. Each seperate component of the work reflects a journey of time and process, so in order for the work to portray this I searched for a minimal space that the work could become a part of. The five plaster cast film canisters represent the development of my use of film photography, each a casting of a developed film. The Invisible panels represent the elements of time and light, when luminous the panels relect the invisble lines of time.
I imagine this installation being most suited to a minimal gallery space as a temporary exhibiton piece or a blank unused, neglected space such as an airport terminal, a place that would not usually be particularly memorable but would reflect the idea of a stretch of time, movement and journey.
