Having spent time experimenting with different arrangments of hanging the invisble thread samples I was most interested in the subtle movement of the fabric when placed in a space. I thought that by projecting some of the films onto the installation it would add emphasis to the moveable element of the work.
The samples when suspended naturally cast shadows their own moveable shadows and by the use of the projector I think it lost the sense of its own shadow catching abilities. however the experimentation with the projector is something I intend to explore further by projecting imagery in particular spaces, so the space becomes a part of the work.
I think a space such as Islington Mill would reflect the sesitivity of this piece well, as it is a space filled with intriguing remnants of the past and the contrast of the minimal effect of the work would fit subtly within the space.
